For job seekers, that means putting in the time and effort required to find a new position, for others it’s simply a great time to reflect on the last year and make plans to advance their career. For employers it’s all about planning recruiting and hiring for the year ahead, with a lot of energy deployed in Q4 of this year.

No matter your aspirations or staffing needs, every year there are HR events, conferences, and seminars all around the country – and 2015 is no different. Obviously there are other smaller and more local events that you could attend, but today’s post will outline the top 10 human resources conferences in 2015.

HR Technology Conference and Expo

October 18 – 21, 2015
Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas

This is the world’s largest Expo of HR technology products and services – many vendors even choose to announce their latest products for the first time at HR Tech. There is no better place to touch, compare and contrast the latest solutions from leading vendors in every category, as well as start-ups. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but according to last year’s event, the price should be around $1,950 for the full conference. Registration opens in February 2015, so mark your calendars!

SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition

June 28 – July 1, 2015
Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas

The SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition is one of the largest HR event in the world with internationally-renowned speakers that offer fresh points of view and inspiring stories that can help shift your perspectives and deepen your understanding of leadership, motivation, and success. You’ll hear from business leaders, HR practitioners, consultants and academicians. The price for members of the SHRM is $1,280, and $1,715 for non-members.

HRPS Annual Conference – Transforming the World of Work

April 19-22, 2015
The Biltmore Hotel, Miami, Florida

The 2015 HRPS Annual Conference is meant to provide attendees with proven, real-world strategies to take back to their business. You will learn how industry leaders are addressing top business challenges by managing rapid change, analyzing big data, increasing mindfulness, and more. The price for the conference depends whether you are a member of HRPS and there are multiple levels of membership – it goes between $1,300 and $2,245.

HR Southwest Conference

October 25-28, 2015
Fort Worth, Texas

The HRSouthwest Conference is the largest regional human resources Conference in the United States. The Conference offers world-renowned keynote speakers, two and a half days of educational sessions networking opportunities and exposure to the latest HR products, techniques and services. Registration for the 2015 event will open in the Spring. The full conference rate for non-members was $1,185 last year, so we can expect similar pricing this year. Of course you can always attend for just a half-day or one full day and those passes are rather inexpensive.

Independent Workforce Summit

March 18-19, 2015
Marines’ Memorial Club & Hotel, San Francisco, California

The Independent Workforce Summit is the premier event connecting independent workers with potential clients and top freelance talent for businesses. Industry leaders such as Yumi Wilson (LinkedIn), Kelsye Nelson (Writer.ly), and Gene Zaino (MBO Partners) will be speaking at this event, making this a must-attend for any independent worker, freelancer, and even HR recruiters and managers. The full conference is priced at $695, and you can choose to attend certain workshops at $195 each.

The California HR Conference is the 2nd largest regional conference for human resources professionals in the United States with more than 2,000 practitioners, presenters, and providers. Originally established in 1958 as the annual conference to serve HR professionals in the Greater Los Angeles Area, the conference was re-branded in 2013 to serve a broader California audience. Like many other events, pricing varies whether you are a member or not.
