Savannah is a graduate from American University (2010) with a degree in broadcast journalism. After graduation, she followed her dream, trying out for the U.S. Bobsled team in Lake Placid, NY. She later switched to Skeleton, a fast winter sliding sport in which a person rides a small sled down a frozen track while lying face down (prone). Now a two-time U.S. Skeleton National Champion, she works hard everyday to earn a spot on Team USA for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Savannah is also an athlete in the U.S. Olympic Committee Athlete Career and Education (ACE) Program. This program was developed to help U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes & hopefuls discover job opportunities that work with their schedule as an athlete and provide them with career coaching.
Three words to describe Savannah are passionate, driven and light-hearted. She loves the outdoors and being active. Savannah appreciates any music with a beat, especially Maroon 5. She is also a coffee connoisseur.
Savannah is currently pursuing her Masters of Business Administration, with a concentration in marketing from the Keller Graduate School of Management. She lives by the quote “Get comfortable being uncomfortable.” Her college field hockey coach spoke these wise words, and she says it’s the best advice she has ever received.
