One week prior to Election Day 2012, the BLS released its latest “Metropolitan Area Employment and Unemployment” report, which revealed that joblessness is continuing to diminish throughout the United States. According to the BLS, 345 of the nation’s 372 metro areas reported a decline in unemployment from September 2011 to September 2012.

Employment and inflation continues to rise
Global economists were recently encouraged by the release of the BLS’ “The Employment Situation – September 2012” report, which revealed that the United States’ national unemployment rate fell to its lowest level since January 2009, as 114,000 jobs were added to the national economy.
